Mike Montville - Founder, Hitting Development Coach

Mike played three years of minor league baseball for the Rockland Boulders of the Can-Am Professional Baseball League. He spent 4 years at the University of Maryland and went on to get his Masters Degree in Sport Management while playing his 5th year at SNHU.

He is a graduate of Portsmouth High School, where he helped lead his team to 3 state championships and a 63-game winning streak.  He received Gatorade's Player of the Year in 2009 & 2010, and was a first team all-state selection in football during his junior and senior year.  He was also a member of the 2009 State Champion Basketball team.

In addition, Mike held a CSCS certification (Strength) and completed an internship at one of the most well known Strength Training Gyms in the country, Cressey Sports Performance. From that internship, he traveled to multiple sites with a team of strength coaches helping run the Area Code Baseball Training events in 2015 and 2016.

Mike has consulted with college coaches and athletes regarding training, and uses his background in strength to help aid his athletes in the biomechanics of baseball movements, as well as working closely to help maintain healthy throwing arms.

Mike currently is a Hitting Supervisor in the Boston Red Sox Organzation and Owner and Hitting Director of Powerhouse Sports

Luke Fernandes - General Manager

Luke grew up in Eliot, ME and attended Marshwood High School. During his time he was a 4-time First Team All State member and in 2012 was named Maine Gatorade Player of the Year. After graduating from Marshwood, he attended Boston College. During his time at BC, Luke was a Wounded Warrior Project Teammate Program Member for 2 years and was part of the Student-Athlete Leadership Council. He was the recipient of the 2014 Team Leadership Award and in 2016 helped his team win the Ole Miss Regional. He finished his under graduate in 2016 with a degree in Political Science and finished his Masters in 2017 with a degree in Marketing and Communications.

Luke's current position is General Manager of Powerhouse Sports NH and NEB-NH

Cory Varrell CSCS, PES Strength Coordinator

A 2006 graduate of Portsmouth High School. During his time at PHS he excelled on the basketball and track team, while also competing on the football and baseball team. His senior year was selected to the basketball senior game, being one of the top twelve players in the state, later that year qualifying for the New England track meet in the long and triple jump events.

After graduating from PHS, Cory attended the University of New Hampshire where he competed for the track team all four years. Along with competing in track, Cory studied Athletic Training and during his time at UNH worked with the school’s varsity Men’s basketball, Women’s field hockey, Women’s soccer, track & field, and a semester at Dover High School. He’s also done Athletic Training work with Future’s Field Hockey, Coates Sports Management basketball camp, and College Connection. Cory graduated from UNH in May 2010 with a degree in Athletic Training.

Cory has also worked for The Program where he has been the Strength and Conditioning coach at Governor’s Academy, St. Sebastian’s School, and Belmont Hill School, and Groton School where he has led their weight room programs and ground based training for all sports.  Cory was a NSCA and NATA member with extensive knowledge in both fields and is a member of the USA National Team Handball Team.

Liam OSullivan - Pitching Development Coach

As 7 year International Professional Pitcher, Liam has been exposed to many different philosophies in the game of baseball. Learning from some of the best in the game while performing at an elite level, Liam has developed a wealth of knowledge. With a reoccurring positive attitude, matched with the enjoyment of learning and teaching, he plans to help grow the game of baseball in the Seacoast area.

Brendan Halloran - Business Manager, NEB-NH Coach

A 2019 graduate at New England College where he studied Sports Management. Brendan is native from Grafton, MA and graduated from St. John's High School in Shrewsbury, MA. In 2019, Brendan was part of the New England College baseball team that captured their first conference and regional championship in program history.

Brendan is currently the Business Manager for Powerhouse Sports NH and NEB-NH Coach



Jared Brescia - NEB-NH Director of Operations, NEB-NH Coach, Hitting Development Coach

A Brentwood, NH native, Jared graduated from Exeter High School in 2016. As a senior infielder, Jared was selected first-team all-state for New Hampshire, and also participated in the 2016 NH Senior All-Star game. He also played a few years of football and golf for the Bluehawks during his time at EHS.

Following his high school career, Brescia attended Assumption University in Worcester, MA, where he would later achieve a degree in Business Management while minoring in sport management and Spanish. He was a 5-year starter and 2-year captain for the Assumption baseball team, playing second base and hitting leadoff the majority of his career. After a successful freshman campaign, Brescia was selected to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Rookie team, as well as earning second-team honors for the Worcester Area Baseball All-Star Team. Brescia spent two summers in premier college summer leagues such as the NECBL and the FCBL, playing for the Winnipesaukee Muskrats and the Nashua Silver Knights.

Jared is currently the Director of Baseball Operations for NEB NH, while also focusing on player development.

Jon Lech - Strength Coach, Nutrition Coach

A 2016 graduate from Whittier regional vocational technical high school where he took on the trade of nursing. At Whittier Jon was a 4 letter baseball player as a catcher and also a 3 letter football player as a quarterback. During his time at Whitter he was apart of the state vocational championship team for the state of Massachusetts in baseball along with many state finalist and semi final seasons. Jon was also apart of the 2015 state vocational championship super bowl team.


After graduating from Whitter RVT, Jon attended Springfield College where he studied Applied Exercise Science with a concentration in Sports Performance and was a student assistant coach for the baseball team for a year primary working in the bullpen with the pitching staff. During his time at Springfield, Jon has worked as an intern Strength and Conditioning coach for Saint John’s Prep during their summer training sessions and also worked as an Intern strength and Conditioning Coach for the Baltimore Orioles minor league affiliates. Jon graduated from Springfield College in 2020.
